Century beat crosstown rival Glencoe 24-19 on Thursday, Oct. 15, at Hare Field in Hillsboro, scoring twice in the final 65 seconds to complete a comeback win.

The Jaguars trailed 19-12 with under two minutes left before rallying for the victory, according to the Hillsboro News Times.

Century improved to 5-2 overall and 3-0 in Pacific Conference play, sitting alone atop the conference standings. The win snapped a three-game losing streak to the Crimson Tide stretching to the 2021 season, including a 44-0 loss last fall, according to OregonLive.

The Jaguars entered the season off back-to-back 3-6 campaigns. Head coach Danny Kernan told OregonLive on Oct. 13 that his players hadn't forgotten last year's blowout loss. "They got after us pretty good last year, and our kids haven't forgotten that," Kernan said.

Glencoe dropped its second straight and fell to 2-5 overall, 1-1 in conference play.

Century has a nonconference game against Cleveland remaining before closing the regular season against league-power Sherwood, with a potential conference title on the line.
