The Hillsboro School District's Native American Parent Advisory Committee meets Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the HSD District Office, 3083 NE 49th Pl., Room 100.

The district's community page lists two different times for the meeting. One section shows 5:30 to 7 p.m. and another shows 6 to 7:30 p.m. Families should contact the Title VI office to confirm: 503-844-1500, ext. 70047.

The committee, known as NAPAC, advises the district on programs for students with tribal affiliations. Members are parent volunteers who generally represent schools serving high concentrations of students eligible for Title VI services, according to a district board report.

Maria Celino, the district's Title VI coordinator for the Native American and Alaska Native Education Program, oversees the committee.

NAPAC meets monthly through May. The Nov. 10 session, billed as a Native American and Alaska Native Celebration, moves to Lincoln Street Elementary at 801 NE Lincoln St. The full schedule is posted on the district's community page.
