Polished chrome, rare rides and a whole lot of horsepower. Hillsboro car enthusiasts won't have to drive far as the 52nd annual Forest Grove Concours d’Elegance returns Sunday, July 19.
The Pacific University campus will transform into a showcase of more than 300 vintage and classic vehicles, from early automobiles to standout imports and restored station wagons. But the real finish line? The event raises money for local student scholarships.
Hosted by the Rotary Club of Forest Grove and Tandem Classic Cars of Portland, the show has helped fund more than $1 million in scholarships over five decades. This year, proceeds will provide a record $32,000 to 12 graduating seniors in western Washington County.
What’s in the lineup
The concours will feature 52 judged classes, including “The Dawn of Motoring,” showcasing some of the earliest cars ever built, “Japanese Automotive Excellence,” and “Practical Elegance — Station Wagons and Estates.”
Beyond the competition, visitors can check out food vendors, live music, a beer garden, wine pavilion and restoration experts. Awards will be handed out from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Gates open at 8:30 a.m. at Pacific University, 2043 College Way. Tickets are $25 online and $30 at the gate. The event runs through 4 p.m. at forestgroveconcours.org.
